Red Line at the metro station with first metro train to run on the tracks

Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) is ready with the designs which are finalised for signages that are to be installed across stations and corridor recently. The North-South Metro corridor from Lucknow airport to Munshipullia crossing with a distance of about 23 km would be called the ‘Red Line corridor’, which will be an identification mark of N-S Corridors. This contract is given to a Gurgaon based firm called CBM with an estimated cost of about 6.5 crore.

In addition to this, LMRC has received 22 lifts in the first lot, of which four have been installed at Alambagh and Krishna Nagar stations, and the first set of four coaches would be ready by November 15. LMRC would go for hybrid security system with UP police personnel, along with a provision for parking of cycles at the metro stations. The parking will be at a nominal price but with no provision for parking of two-wheelers and four-wheelers. There will be feeder bus service to pick passengers from various points.
