PETHI WALI FISH Recipe  


Ingrediets: 4 pcs fish ; 2 tbsp ginger - garlic, onion paste ; 1 tsp haldi ; 1/4 tsp mirch ; oil - to deep fry & cook ; 1/2 cup besan or ground rice ; jeera powder, a pinch of methi (fenugreek) ; salt to taste


Method: First mix besan, salt, jeera powder & water to make a batter. Now take washed fish. Dip into this batter & deep fry until it is crispy and golden brown. Keep it aside. Now in another pan. Prepare its gravy. Put 1/2 cup oil. Put 1 pinch of methi, when it turns brown put ginger garlic & onion paste. Along with it put mirch, salt & haldi. Fry all of it for some time. When the oil seperates from the masala, add curd & again bhunno it. Now add fish to it & a little water so that the pieces are dipped into it. Cover the lid & let it cook. When the gravy becomes thick add hara dhania. It gives a contrast of yellow & green and serve.
