Now, more funding for Gomti riverfront in LucknowBack

The State Cabinet raised the budget by 44% from Rs 656 Crore for development of Gomti Riverfront. The amount of Rs 1,513.5 Crore will be allocated on channelization of the river, cleaning of water, construction of intercepting drains and beautification of the riverfront on both sides by installation of musical fountains, water show, bridge illumination and high mast erection from Harding Bridge to La Martiniere Boys College, which would be about 8 km.
Additional features like a rubber dam to control water flow in the river, walking track from Harding Bridge to the Weir, and pathways up to the temples and mosques in downstream of Nishatganj Bridge, has increased the cost.
