Heritage engine at Charbagh, LucknowBack

Charbagh railway station is going to set up a british era heritage steam locomotive engine at Gandhi Upan for public display. The engine will be painted with Lucknow’s heritage monuments on the back of the engine know as tender.
This engine is brought from Rajkot, Gujarat is to be displayed on the 164th anniversary of Indian railway. Manufactured in 1925, the magnificent black machine is a special coal combustible engine that served Indian railway till late 1990s. Two heritage engines have been sanctioned for Uttar Pradesh of which one installed at Charbagh and another one will be displayed in Varanasi, said officials.
