Expedite beautification work in Old City in Lucknow, says commissionerBack

Divisional Commissioner T Venkatesh and District Magistrate Raj Shekhar on Friday jointly inspected the ongoing beautification project one of the prime projects of the state government in the Old city area and directed the working agencies to meet the deadline at any cost.
The Divisional Commissioner gave the direction after he learnt about the possible delay in the laying of cobble stones. Under this, the agency is laying cobble stone on the 2 Km-stretch starting from Tile Wali Masjid to Chhota Imambada, connecting monuments under Hussainabad and Allied Trust (HAT).
Besides, he also enquired about the ongoing restoration of Clock tower. Officials with the LDA, the constructing agency in the tower’s restoration said the work is going on war-footing and would be completed by October 2016. The administrative officers also inspected the ongoing green patch work, toilet block construction block and new 132 KV sub-station work.
