Ramayan circuit will be executed by the State government itself in the state and it has submitted its plan to Government of India already. State government has already taken up a series of multi-crore rupee projects for renovation of Hindu shrines and pilgrimages, including rejuvenation of Saryu River and Ram Ki Paidhi, Yamuna riverfront beautification in Vrindavan in Mathura and Varuna in Varanasi.
The Ramayan circuit will comprise Nepal, UP, Bihar, Tamil Nadu and go up to Sri Lanka. Similarly, he said, the Buddhist circuit which already exists in UP would include places related to Lord Buddha in Bihar and Nepal.
